Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner
Overview:
Mastercard Technology (MC Tech) operates the company's global payments processing infrastructure and development. MC Tech uses its expertise to make payments safe, simple and smart.
Finance Business Partners within MC Tech work with closely technology leaders and their teams to create financial plans, manage financial performance and evaluate investment opportunities. The Finance Business Partner role provides an excellent platform for career development. The successful candidate will gain experience in managing and optimizing investments that enable global payments. Networking and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is a key skill for success.
Responsible for a broad range of finance related responsibilities and acts as a finance support for one or more technology divisions.
Role:
- Business partner to Senior Technology leaders (Technology program owners).
- Interface with the business on key financial issues, providing insight, guidance, constructive challenge and decision support
- Attend business/ project management meetings to contribute to the management & strategy of the area within remit
- Support the business process for area within remit from end to end, including business cases for new investments, procurement for supplier contract renewals, project finance, cost center and contract management support.
- Identify issues and propose potential resolutions related to the area of support. Identify patterns and predict potential risks/opportunities & recommend improvements to achieve and deliver improved results
- Help drive divisional financial reporting (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, hiring, attrition, contractors, T&E)
- Oversee & review monthly actuals, accruals, forecasts, risk & annual budget cost reports and analysis of costs and variances to support business partners and consolidation team in understanding and presenting monthly/quarterly/yearly performance
- Manage the financial processes supporting project financials including recharges and cost allocations and ad hoc analysis, specifically related to contractor timesheet & furlough tracking
- Contribute to the technology cost allocation model and budget transfers to support intercompany recharging
- Implement and follow accounting standards and policies and propose options and recommendations as required, in particular for capitalization.
- Help develops flexible spending plans that may be triggered by sudden changes in global economic factors
- Partners with technology providers to prioritize investments within approved funding targets
- Leverages the Technology Business Management [TBM] framework to understand demand for technology services and to manage product P&Ls
All About You:
- Ability to oversee the completion of global, complex management reporting (e.g.. monthly financial results, quarterly forecasting, annual budgets, vendor deal analysis)
- Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional capacity and able to work across a wide range of stakeholders, with strong influencing skills.
- A desire to understand the services provided by technology units and initiate process improvements
- Experience consulting business units on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging advanced analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events
- Strong communication skills from written, verbal and presentation perspectives
- Advanced excel skills.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
