Description
Our client is a dynamic and growing small manufacturing company, is seeking a qualified and experienced Controller to join our dedicated team. As a Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing both day-to-day accounting tasks and higher-level financial functions, contributing to the company's overall success.
Financial Oversight:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Implement and maintain robust financial controls to ensure accurate recording of transactions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and oversee the company's budgeting process, working collaboratively with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.
Conduct regular financial forecasting to identify trends, analyze variances, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage cash flow, optimizing working capital to support the company's operational needs.
Implement effective strategies for accounts receivable and accounts payable management to enhance liquidity.
Strategic Financial Planning:
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Provide insights and recommendations on cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and investment opportunities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
10+ years of Accountant level work history
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment is a plus
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
