The innovative team at Robert Half is in need of a Senior Accountant with terrific experience and know-how for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity in the Real Estate & Property industry. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant opportunity is located in the Honolulu, Hawaii area and will offer a great you a great detail-oriented experience along with attractive compensation. Your responsibilities in this role
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Complete other projects as required
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Requirements - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Vow to meet business deadlines
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Ability to work well with functional department managers
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred
Adeptness in journal entries
Experience with fixed assets
General ledger experience preferred
Proficiency in account analysis
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Comprehensive knowledge of financial statement preparation
Skilled with ERP systems
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
The ideal candidate for this position can demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting systems
