Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $61,200.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
The Lottery Investigator conducts criminal, intelligence, background and other types of investigations in support of the Hoosier Lottery. This is law enforcement work involving the identification, investigation and prosecution of law violators or suspected law violators.
What You'll Need for Success:
Sworn law enforcement officer in accordance with State of Indiana statutes;
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
Knowledge of and experience with various security techniques and concepts, specifically in the area of computers;
In addition to the above requirements, any person employed in this class must comply with the provisions of Indiana Code 4-30 et seq.;
Is at least 21 years of age;
Is a United States citizen;
Is a high school graduate or its equivalent as the term may be determined by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy;
Has never been convicted (adjudicated guilty) of any felony or a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement;
Has not been dishonorably discharged from any of the U.S. Armed Forces;
Has passed a physical examination by a licensed physician, based on specifications established by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy;
Has a good moral character as determined by a background investigation;
Has completed a course of training established by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in accordance with Indiana Law or be exempt under Indiana Code 5-2-1-9 (b);
Must be able to legally and safely operate motor vehicles, sometimes for considerable distances.
