The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cybersecurity and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. Firstly, we Champion Transparency & Trust by leading the charge in organizational transparency, prioritizing customer trust, and placing user needs first. Secondly, we aim to maintain Best in Class Global Security by proactively identifying and reducing risks while enabling innovative product development. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office for 3 days a week, as directed by their manager. The Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance team is responsible for working closely with cross-functional partners to manage security risks to ensure we meet all industry cybersecurity compliance standards and government regulations through developing governing policies, implementing the security control framework, conducting security risk and control assessments, and staying up-to-date on global compliance initiatives.
Role
The Security Findings Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring the successful resolution of internal and external audit findings, risk findings, control assessments, and other remediation efforts within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a risk and audit mindset and have prior experience in Security Risk Management, Audit, IT controls, or regulatory compliance. You would be a great fit for this role if you are enthusiastic about:
1. You have a strong risk and audit mindset with prior experience in Risk Management, Audit, IT controls, or regulatory compliance.
2. Thriving in fast-paced environments and pivoting priorities while demonstrating the ability to quickly adapt in the face of constantly evolving cybersecurity challenges
3. You are proficient in project management and reporting, and you can easily process and synthesize complex information from various sources to create accurate meeting notes and documentation.
4. Fostering collaboration and cross-functional partnerships to help spread awareness and drive the implementation of cybersecurity controls to mitigate challenging or unique risks
5. Providing candid and clear feedback on critical cybersecurity initiatives from policies to application designs and much more!
Responsibilities
As a Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) Security Findings Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and risks. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Leading the closure process for audit findings and remediation efforts related to information technology groups, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Lead remediation owners to address complex issues, make sound decisions, and manage critical situations.
- Manage and own all remediation projects and report on the progress of finding closure activities. Maintain accurate documentation and meeting notes.
- Lead all proposed remediation solutions and provide constructive feedback when they do not meet the required remediation standards.
- Communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders and leaders on cybersecurity risk and controls management topics and program-specific reporting
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Collaborate, influence, and inform key individuals within a matrixed environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of supporting cybersecurity risk or controls management programs with in-depth knowledge and experience of cybersecurity frameworks including ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC, NIST CSF and regulatory requirements or Internal Audit/External Audit experience.
- Experience collaborating closely with security partners, including incident response, red teams, architects, and engineers to seamlessly incorporate cybersecurity controls and risk management processes into their day-to-day operations
- Team player and motivated self-starter who is resourceful and has the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across different products, business lines, and regions
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to document, communicate, and report on cybersecurity risks as well as the status of the implementation and effectiveness of cybersecurity controls with product and business leaders
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and execute security risk and control projects and initiatives on time with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work at the San Jose office for 2 to 3 days per week and be willing to travel to other offices, including international locations, as required to support business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of cybersecurity experience related to working on projects and teams related to risk and controls management, compliance, information security, or other related fields
- Familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) technologies such as RSA Archer or ServiceNow
- CISM, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, CASP, Security+, CRISC, CGEIT, GSEC, or other relevant certifications
