The Security Assurance and Operations Analyst will be a highly skilled and motivated individual with responsibility to help associates define and operate security controls to ensure protection of data and systems across the organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to make risk-based decisions related to firewall connectivity, proxy, and USB access-related requests; perform periodic assessments of network and firewall connectivity; and develop and enforce third-party connectivity designs. Strong performers will have the ability to grow into more senior risk, engineering, or security operations roles within the security organization.
Responsibilities:
Assist associates in defining and implementing security controls to protect data and systems.Review and assess firewall, proxy, and USB access-related requests to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.Manage and maintain end point security policies to include but not limited to removable media controls, end point encryption, web browser security, and EDR applications.Solve engineering problems with applications, network, and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliances, proxy servers, DNS appliances and Wireless devices.Perform periodic assessments of network and firewall related connectivity and technologies to identify vulnerabilities and recommend necessary improvements.Evaluate the risk associated with firewall connectivity approvals and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.Develop and enforce third-party connectivity designs and conduct reviews of setup and required connectivity to ensure compliance with security requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities and ensure timely resolution of security incidents.Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to enhance security posture.Collaborate with security incident response teams to address security issues and implement countermeasures

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience in security assurance and operations roles, preferably in a large enterprise environment.Strong knowledge of network and firewall technologies, including TCP/IP, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network architecture.5+ years' experience with managing network technologies such as routers, firewalls, switches, DNS appliances, web proxies.Understand Network protocols and network security best practices and ensure compliance with security standards and controls.Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and PCI DSS.Experience conducting risk assessment for firewall, proxy, and USB access.Proficiency in analyzing network traffic, logs, and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.Ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC is highly desirable.Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.Understanding of regulatory requirements related to data protection and privacy (e.g., GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), etc.) is a plus.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $140,995-$225,592
San Antonio Base Salary Range: $115,910-$185,456
New York Base Salary Range: $149,462-$239,139
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
