The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cybersecurity and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. Firstly, we Champion Transparency & Trust by leading the charge in organizational transparency, prioritizing customer trust, and placing user needs first. Secondly, we aim to maintain Best in Class Global Security by proactively identifying and reducing risks while enabling innovative product development. We constantly work towards a sustainable world-class security capability. Thirdly, we strive to be a Business Catalyst & Enabler by embodying the DNA of technical innovation and ensuring our Global Security operations are fast and agile. Finally, we Drive Empowered & Risk-Informed Decision Making by providing our leaders with the necessary information to make agile decisions based on risk. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office for 3 days a week, as directed by their manager. We're looking for a strategic and creative storyteller to help the Global Security Organization (GSO) continue building trust through transparency, including highlighting our industry-leading cybersecurity and business protection services that prioritize the needs of our customers and users. As a member of our Security Advocacy and Culture team, you will play an instrumental role in designing, creating, and amplifying security best practices, policies, and procedures among internal and external audiences - spanning employees, brands, regulators, and over 1 billion people on our platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop clear and concise messaging that articulates the robustness of our security practices and initiatives to support cross-functional teams as they interface with internal and external stakeholders, spanning TikTok employees, users, brand partners, and regulators.
- Help develop and execute security storytelling and awareness campaigns - featuring white papers, one pagers, infographics, videos, online and in-person events, gamified learning, etc. - for diverse global audiences.
- Effectively highlight the Global Security Organization's people, policies, and procedures via informative, engaging, and creative formats (written, digital, and video).
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to ensure content and campaigns align with concurrent or upcoming initiatives.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness and impact of strategies, and make improvements as needed.
- Ensure security awareness content complies with standard frameworks (ISO27001, SOC2, PCI DSS, etc.).
- Actively participate in strategic initiatives / projects in accordance with GSO strategy.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience developing and executing employee and/or consumer awareness campaigns
- Excellent strategic, analytical, verbal communication and creative problem solving skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to present information in an engaging and easily digestible format
- Strong executive presence, interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in multimedia content creation (graphic design and video editing software including TikTok, CapCut, Canva, Google Slides/Power Point, Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Self-starter who is motivated to take initiative, operate independently, demonstrate creativity, manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Operate in a fast-paced environment with teams and stakeholders across different disciplines and time zones
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and interest in cybersecurity and privacy issues in tech, media, or entertainment
- Experience project managing conferences/events (logistics, operations, planning, execution)
- Solid understanding of the TikTok user experience

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $147200 - $269800 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
