We currently have an exciting opportunity in Ground Systems Engineering to join our team located in Englewood, CO.
This position can also be located in Boulder, CO, San Diego, CA, Herndon, VA, or Huntsville, AL.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individual contributor supporting the Ground Segment IPT for assigned program.
Ensure integrated solution comprised of internal, COTS, FOSS supports space mission CONOPS
Use MBSE approach to design, development, and testing of ground system.
Support development of ICD, IDDs and test plans/procedures.
Collaborate with all levels of engineering staff on design, integration and test matters and support other teams/disciplines as necessary.
Develops ground system requirements to support space missions.
Support development of ground and operations related program documentation.
Develops ground system requirements to support operations needs.
Develops training material for operational readiness.
Ensure test-driven requirements and development
Collaborates in design of new space systems including: requirement alignment, conduct of design reviews, verification and test support
Troubleshoots, analyzes, and repairs systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.
Follow solution/ product through all phases of the project as needed
Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required.
Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelors or masters degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
Experience in SysML and Magic Draw to provide inputs to and develop system models for the complete system desirable
Prior experience as a systems engineer supporting development of satellite command and control and mission planning systems desirable.
Candidate will transition to supporting LEOP rehearsals, LEOP as they bring their experience from drafting operational readiness manuals to bear
Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
Good communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be able to work extended hours as required. An EIT (Engineer in Training) certificate is desirable
