About the team :
The Mobility Operations team is responsible for bringing Uber's vision to life in Japan. They are responsible for strategy creation and execution for our Driver and Rider focused activities. Operations team is all about running our business with executional excellence and helping our driver-partners and riders get the most out of the Uber platform.
About role :
We seek an experienced Sales Manager to own sales activities and strategy execution in multiple regional cities to grow partnerships with taxi companies adding vehicles to Uber platform.
This person will lead negotiations with taxi companies to gain partner fleets, vehicles and driver engagement, all of which are essential to a great rider experience on Uber platform. The candidate is required to quickly learn the product and our value propositions towards fleets/drivers to grow supply in our focused regional cities.
Internally, this role involves substantial cross-functional collaboration across marketing, customer support, business development, finance, tax, legal, policy, and communications to move forward with daily work, project and strategy execution.
The candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong project manager with product knowledge, a good sales person, and a strong team worker who can coordinate across all these external and internal stakeholders to deliver success to our fleet partners, riders and Uber.
Examples of areas you will be working on are building relationships with the senior leadership of taxi companies in key regional cities, signing partnership contracts with fleets, not only onboarding drivers but also increasing their engagement, formulate and execute strategic plans on fleets and drivers.
Key responsibilities are as below:
Represent Uber and build relationship with taxi company in the key regional cities.Negotiate and sign partnership contract with taxi company to increase supply.Work with partner taxi companies and drivers to increase their engagement with UberDevelop and execute Uber's supply growth strategy on these regional cities
Basic requirements:
Fluent-level Japanese and Business-level EnglishB2B Sales strategy development and execution experienceAt least 6 years of sales and account management experienceExperience in operations using various analytics and data tools, and possess analytical skillsCan establish trust relationship with new and existing partnersProven record of working with the local and regional cross-functional teamsSales experience dealing with traditional Japanese industriesWillingness to travel and gain results from business trips made
