You will work alongside our U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Robotics and Autonomous Systems Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the areas of manned & unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and ground vehicle simulation. In this position, you will serve as a Robotics Safety Engineer for GVSC Robotic and Autonomous Systems projects and programs.Essential Job Functions:Work with a team to develop safety standards for unmanned ground vehicle platforms and system software leveraging IS0 26262 and MIL STD 882E.Provide guidance to robotics programs with respect to systems safety and provide support to conduct functional hazard analyses.Develop program requirements based on available safety standards.Implemented processes for the design and development of robotic systems to achieve safety objectives.Required Skills:Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.Minimum Bachelor's degree and twelve years experience.Experience in Safety Critical Systems (Design, Implementation, Test), ideally with automotive systems and/or autonomy systems.Familiarity with Safety Standards such as MIL-STD-882E, ISO 26262, DO-178C.Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
