Responsibilities Utilizes the nursing process and criticalthinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caringfor patients. Performs assessments, planning, intervention andevaluation of care Administers prescribed medications and treatments inaccordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures,standards of care, and state laws/practice act as required by caresetting. Ensures all documentation is accurate and comprehensive inaccordance with the established standards of care for documentation atthe system and entity levels. Develops initiates and executes a patientplan of care according to the patient\'s individualized needs, asprescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy. Utilizes resourcesavailable to teach and support patient and family education. Provideseducation to the appropriate level of understanding. Participates indepartment or unit performance improvement activities, which may includeshared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise & guidance to otherunits/departments in support of the patient\'s longitudinal plan ofcare. Acts to resolve systems breakdowns and engages self and others inproviding solutions Utilizes critical thinking in regards to patientsafety and patient experience, manages complex situations and delegatesto other staff appropriately.
