About the Role:
The Risk and Identity Operations Manager is responsible for working on financial fraud mitigation on new and existing products and lines of business for Uber. They will be tasked with looking at all three sides of the marketplace: Spender, Earner, and Merchant, to identify trends and gaps in our fraud processes that lead to financial losses for Uber, along with insights and recommendations on how to mitigate these losses. If you want to work closely with cross-functional counterparts, have a high impact on initiatives across US&C, and have ownership and autonomy over the work product, this is the role for you!
What You'll Do:
Monitor and quantify emerging fraud trends and patternsCollaborate with operations, applied science, product, eng, legal and other teams to prioritize solutions to emerging patternsReview new feature proposals for fraud risks and take appropriate measures to minimize riskIdentify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to keep teams efficient
Basic Qualifications:
At least 2+ years of work experience in a related field ( operations, strategy, analytics, technology, marketplace, consulting)BA/BS degree or equivalentExperience writing code to organize data (SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, etc.) and developing decision-making systems (SQL, Python, R, etc.)

Experience in marketplace operations, with a focus on fraud mitigationData-first problem solver with excellent Excel/Google Sheets data management skillsProficient in SQLExperience with data manipulation and analysis skills that lead to deep insightsAbility to use data to quickly develop strategies and make decisionsExperience building and executing complex processesStrong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a sophisticated audienceStrong collaboration and partner management skills, including building deep, trust-based relationships with cross-functional teamsExperience working closely and communicating effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders in a constantly evolving, rapid growth environment with tight deadlinesSelf-motivated, works well independently and possesses strong organization and time management skills
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$88,000 per year - USD$98,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$98,000 per year - USD$109,000 per year.
