In this role, you will support the development, implementation and management of various aspects of Stryker’s worldwide risk management and insurance programs.
This hybrid role requires you to be in our Portage, MI office 2 days a week and you will have the flexibility to work from home on the other days.

What you will do
Support the Risk Management & Insurance (RM&I) Department's relationships with various internal customers and external business partners, including insurers, claims administrators, insurance brokers, risk management consultants and other vendors;
Support the identification of exposures to loss and the development and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation and loss control strategies, including property and casualty loss control and business continuity planning activities;
Support the development and implementation of risk financing strategies and alternatives, including annual insurance renewal strategies and current and potential captive insurance company uses;
Help to develop, maintain and/or manage the Department's risk management information system (RMIS), including the information contained within the RMIS;
Manage and support the management of the preparation of insurance renewal applications and specifications, including the collection, compilation and analysis of exposure information using the RMIS and other tools;
Support the general administration of Stryker’s various insurance programs, including managing the handling and storage of insurance policies and other documentation;
Perform claims administration duties, including but not limited to managing the monthly claims data feeds into the RMIS, reviewing/supporting the monthly billing of deductible losses by Stryker’s TPA and supporting the handling of rental car auto claims;
Support risk management audit / inspection activities and compliance with established risk management policies;
Support risk management and insurance integration activities in support of Stryker's business development activities;
Support the payment, accounting and budgeting activities associated with insurance premiums and other Departmental costs;
What you need
Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of relevant work experience required
Business discipline preferred; a degree or emphasis in Risk Management & Insurance and/or completion of CPCU, ARM, CRM or similar coursework is a plus
