BAE Systems' Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an RF / RADAR Algorithms Engineer for the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line. This subject matter expert will help grow the PGSS product line by applying BAE Systems' broad technology base to fill real gaps that Department of Defense customers have in the area of smart weapons. The ideal candidate will work with Engineering Leadership and other subject matter experts, to assist with the next generation of precision guidance RF Seeker solutions. This role requires the candidate to be an outgoing, well-connected self-starter who will have direct customer interface to shape RFIs that meet the US Government's mission value.
This role will be staffed in our new and expanded facilities in Huntsville, Alabama. In Huntsville, our Engineering team is working in a recently opened state of the art facility and operating in a unique environment where we have the power and resources of BAE Systems behind us while working in a dynamic and flexible model with the feel of a start-up. Individuals should have experience in the development and testing of RADAR algorithms that compose the Active Electronically Steered Array (AESA) RADAR foundation. This includes some diverse sub-set of the following: Signal Processing and Data Cube Management (e.g., Beam-Forming; Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP); Doppler Processing; Split-Gate Processing, etc.)Measurement Processing (e.g., Monopulse, CIDF processing; RCS estimation, absolute State uncertainty formulation)Environment Processing (e.g., CFAR, spatial and temporal Clutter characterization, clutter patch clustering)Track Processor (e.g., statistically consistent Interactive Multi-Model filter design; Measurement-to-Track Association in a multi-target environment; non-associated data management and Track Initiation; Track Purity and Track Quality projections)High Range Resolution as it applies to IDSAR Image DevelopmentClassification & Typing (e.g., feature space development, feature extraction; confusion matrix generation and confidence formulation, etc.)
This position is considered Hybrid, with part time onsite, and part time remote work opportunity.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Active Secret clearance requiredBachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or Computer Science Strong verbal and written communication skillsAlgorithm experience in: multi-sensor measurement-level and track-level fusion; design of imbedded communications within mission aligned active RF emissionsUnderstanding of multi-mission, multi-function (M3F) RADAR modes of operation to include: Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI), Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) Automated Target Acquisition (ATA), SAR Automated Target Recognition (ATR)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $111700 - $189900
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
