Resident Care Director Loomis Village South Hadley, MA Full Time ExemptPosition Summary Description: Provides leadership to the Assisted Livingneighborhood ensuring residents have the opportunity to be fullyintegrated into the community to maximize their wellbeing. Responsiblefor the residents\' overall healthcare management through development ofservices plans based on individual clinical assessments of residents\'needs. Ensures a qualified, competent staff who provide the appropriatelevel of services to support and meet the needs of residents and tomaintain their highest functional level by creating a caring andencouraging environment. Essential Functions: Performs job functions ina manner consistent with the mission and goals of the LoomisCommunities. Adheres to The Loomis Communities Compliance and EthicsProgram. Demonstrates an awareness of, a respect for and attention tothe diversity of the people with whom they interact (persons served,personnel, families/caregivers, and other stakeholders) that isreflected in attitudes, behavior and services. Initiates qualityimprovement activities and program services in response to resident?sneeds and regulatory requirements. Establishes Key PerformanceIndicators that support compliance with ALF regulations, innovationbased on strategic priorities. Ensures compliance with MassachusettsAssisted Living Regulations and any updates or changes that reflect andCARF accreditation standards Oversees the hiring, orientation,supervision, and performance reviews of Assisted Living ResidentAssistants. Provides ongoing training, education and coaching andcorrective action in a timely manner with a consistent person-centeredfocus Completes resident assessments for potential and current residentsfor Assisted Living to ensure eligibility for appropriate setting.Ensures that an individualized, updated service plan is in place to meetresident needs and reviewed every six months, with resident usinginformation gathered from clinical assessments, resident or family inputand RA communications. Collaborates with Loomis Home Care to ensurenursing assessment and service plan is implemented and followed.Coordinates with Resident Engagement team to ensure that residents haveopportunities to pursue interest and to ensure daily routines andpreferences are honored. Consults with residents and families re:problems, options and resources Participates in resident/family &organization meetings as needed. Coordinates with Health ServicesDirector and other directors when applicable to ensure full integration.Stays current on industry trends. Qualifications: Required Education:Current Massachusetts Nursing license Required Experience: Three yearsof supervisory/leadership experience with knowledge of MassachusettsAssisted Living Regulations. Skills/Competencies: Ability to remaincurrent with industry trends and to implement new initiatives based onthis knowledge and resident interest. Ability to apply clinicalknowledge in the assessment of residents Ability to carry outinstructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability todeal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardizedsituations. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to relatewell to all residents, including the emotionally upset. Ability to dealeffectively with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and thepublic. Ability to report to work regularly and promptly. Ability towork beyond normal hours when necessary.
