Job Summary
The Obstetrics & Gynecology Research Network has an opening for a Research Assistant/Analyst. This individual will provide support for research projects ranging from internal chart reviews to large, industry and federally funded studies. This individual will work closely with our investigators, study coordinators, clinic and research teams to carry out protocols in various areas of women’s and newborn’s health.

Learn study protocols; assess for clarity and subject safetyReview and understand inclusion/exclusion criteriaScreen clinic schedules for potential study participants and healthy control participantsCarry out study eligibility screening of patients in a clinical settingRecruit and consent eligible patientsExplain the study protocol and inclusion criteria to physicians, patients, and health care providers in person and by phone; ensure participant understanding of the protocolGather, record and enter data from study participants, charts, and EMR’s into study databasesMaintain source documents, status reports, progress notes, and subject logs in accordance with FDA , HIPAA , and GCP guidelinesComplete medical chart reviewsWork with research teams and clinicians to meet enrollment goals and study deadlinesCollect and process biospecimens and clinical measurements from study participants (phlebotomy training will be provided as needed)Assist in packaging and shipping of samples/biospecimensReport and track adverse eventsDocument all protocol deviations, reconcile test article accountability at study close and prepare summary report for department and sponsorAttend team and study meetingsAssist in maintaining stocks of suppliesWork with confidential health information and complete the necessary trainings to do soRegulatory management and reportingOther duties as assignedTeam Culture

Bachelor’s degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
