Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) is a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, mission-aligned Reproductive Health Educator to join the Reproductive Health Team.
The Reproductive Health Educator will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children's Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.
We are currently seeking a Reproductive Health Educator (part-time/full-time) to facilitate classroom lessons and workshops based on SEICUS Standards that emphasize sexual literacy, puberty, decision-making, body image, abstinence, and roles and relationships. This position reports to the Reproductive Health Program Manager.

A commitment to the mission and programs of HCZ Bachelor's degree in health education, counseling, public health, or related field Experience teaching adolescents on topics such as pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other related health and lifestyle topics Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills both oral and written Team-oriented with strong organizational and collaborative skills An ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Must have a high level of confidentiality and professional integrity Must be available to work evenings Serve as a role model, consistently demonstrating HCZ's core values
What you'll do
Facilitate reproductive health classes for students using evidence-based curricula that is age-appropriate and medically accurate Deliver workshops for parents that provide education around puberty, pregnancy and STI prevention, and strategies to communicate with children around issues related to sexuality and reproductive health Provide individualized support, including referrals to services Lead professional development trainings for HCZ staff and participants Develop education materials, related curriculum, and resources Stay current on all information concerning reproductive health and sexuality education Submit monthly reports and attendance logs Perform other duties as assigned
