Position Overview:
The Corporate Reporting Analyst I is responsible to obtain pertinent data from all relevant business partners, compile and clean this information, analyzing the data, and deliver appealing visualizations. This role will contribute to developing new business opportunities or supporting existing clients through suitability analysis, territory design, or other spatial analysis process presented in a web map, web app, or dashboard. Additionally, this role will partner with various corporate Departments to analyze recruiting and employee data.
They should be able to deliver innovative insight for our stakeholders to make better decisions or enhance business processes. Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Services) is a plus!
Key Responsibilities include:
• Gathering raw data from pertinent sources
• Collating such data to facilitate its interpretation
• Checking and cleaning data
• Analyzing data, with consideration for the influence of missing information, outliers, plus confounding and extraneous variables
• Creating data visualizations, reports or dashboards utilizing tools such as Tableau or Excel.
• Reporting on insights obtained, which might be utilized to inform business strategies.
• Creating and updating data sets that evolve in tandem with our business's needs.
• Ensuring that issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved within predefined timelines
• Making recommendations about process/system improvements to automate process flow, enhancing productivity
• Creating and maintaining documentation
Candidate Requirements:
• Ability to create, update, and share databases.
• Strong troubleshooting and report writing abilities.
• General business acumen with the curiosity to gain an active understanding of the client’s needs (wants to be involved with, and be a partner to, our stakeholders)
• Effectively use data to support business needs by analyzing existing reports and making changes as requested by users
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and be comfortable dealing with changing priorities and timelines
• Must be a motivated self-starter with a pro-active “can-do” attitude, who can work independently, but also seeks out opportunities to work collaboratively with others
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, especially for purposes of ensuring accurate reporting and presentation and formatting of reports in a professional manner
• Have an analytical mindset; able to think through the data before creating reports
• Experience with MS Excel including sorting, filtering, pivots, charting, vlookup, and other analytics functions.
• General knowledge of web-based data collection and reporting tools such Tableau.
• Experience in Network Analyst, Business Analyst, Spatial Analyst, ArcGIS Online is a plus.
• Python or SQL programming skills a plus.
• Business and/or Business-related degree recommended
