Job Description
One of the leading designers and suppliers of railcars in North America is looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join their team remotely. The purpose of this role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders. They will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and resources including architects, product owners, subject matter experts and business leaders. This role looks for modern technologies to optimize business processes and plays a pivotal role in ensuring a thorough understanding of business requirements and needs. This team of business analysts handle tickets that come in, examples of these tickets vary from decommissioning an application to setting up shop kiosks at a manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include documenting user requirements through a variety of methods such as interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, and scenarios. These analyses are used to collaborate with stakeholders on a project-by-project basis to establish scope, parameters, and prioritize requirements. There are expectations to conduct research on software and hardware products to meet agreed-upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts, and evaluates features and functions of purchased solutions to ensure they have been enabled and optimized in conjunction with the documented requirements, Creates business cases, feasibility studies, financial analysis, and other artifacts for proposed solutions, as well as contribute to training materials and training development to support adoption of new solutions. A successful candidate will be able to juggle multiple projects at a time, be involved with different areas within the company (IT, Operations, Business, Finance, etc.), and has worked on a wide variety of projects where they have had a hand in a variety of responsibilities.
Skills and Requirements
Three + years of experience as a BA, related work experience
Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
Ability to apply analytical and statistical skills to systems issues and products as required.
Experience in application and software development life cycle concepts.
Ability to juggle multiple projects at a time that are involved in a variety of areas.
Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change. Experience with at least two of the following applications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, Concur, Salesforce, Azure Devops, ServiceNow, ADP
Experience in manufacturing, logistics or transportation
Stretch nice to haves Bilingual in one of the following: Spanish, Polish, Romanian. Not a requirement, just a nice to have. null
