At NVIDIA, we’re solving the world’s most exciting problems with our unique approach to accelerated computing. As a Quantum Applied Research Scientist, you'll work with cross functional teams in Product, Engineering and Research to develop innovative technologies and intercept NVIDIA products in critical areas like AI methods for quantum, noise-accurate digital twins of quantum systems, and advanced simulation techniques. The Quantum organization is a small, strong, and visible group both inside and outside of NVIDIA while Quantum Information Science is an exciting area to advance the state of the art. We need passionate researchers to continue to grow this area. Do you have deep technical expertise in quantum with a passion for groundbreaking technology? If so, we would love to learn more about you!
What you'll be doing:
Develop novel methods in AI for quantum error correction, calibration and optimal control, noise-accurate digital twins of quantum systems, or advanced simulation techniques.
Work closely with product and hardware architecture teams to integrate your research and developments into NVIDIA products.
Publish your work and speak at relevant scientific, technical and industry conferences.
Represent NVIDIA in Quantum Computing technical consortia and committees.
What We Need To See:
Ph. D. in Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Years of Quantum Information Science, Scientific Computing or AI research or work experience.Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction, device architecture, and/or advanced simulation methods.
Excellent programming skills in Python, C++ and a parallel programming model (e.g., CUDA).
World-class communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate a value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences.
A track record of research excellence demonstrated in publications at leading conferences and journals.
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:
Hands-on experience in scientific computing, high-performance computing, applied machine learning, or deep learning.
Experience with the NVIDIA Quantum platform (cuQuantum or CUDA Quantum).
