Job Role:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Quantitative Analytics Developer. The role is based in Houston and will work very closely with our Quantitative Analytics team. The closing date for this role is February 16, 2024.
What does our team do:
Solve technical problems in real-time with a bias for action and a hands-on attitude.
Develop quantitative models (e.g. risk management models, hedging strategies, valuation models, fundamental models, or trading strategies) in partnership with experienced Quantitative Analysts.
Collaborate with Quantitative Analysts to understand data requirements and implement efficient database solutions.
Develop user-friendly web applications to allow easy interaction with the quantitative models
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the quantitative solution platform.

Additionally, the candidate needs to meet the following skill/experience requirements in at least one of these areas.
Quantitative development:
Master's in financial engineering (MFE), statistics, computer science, math, engineering, or other related majors. Ph.D. is a plus.
Good understanding of econometrics, derivative pricing, and risk management. Familiar with Monte Carlo simulation and dynamic programming.
Experience with writing production grade object-oriented Python. Proficiency with relevant packages (e.g. Pandas, Stats Models, Scikit-learn).
Familiar with software testing and design patterns
Data engineering:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
Proven experience in building, operating, and supporting robust and performant databases and data pipelines.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems
Solid understanding of data modelling, indexing, and query optimization techniques
Proficient in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
Knowledge of ETL (extract, transform, load) processes and tools.
Experience with Databricks and Snowflake
Web development:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or a related field
Proven experience in building web applications
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries (React preferred)
Familiarity with database systems. Full-stack development experience is helpful.
Solid understanding of web performance optimization, security, and best practices
