Description The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include clinical and didactic teaching of prosthodontics at the dental student and resident levels, scholarly activity, productive participation in faculty practice and institutional service. Candidates should demonstrate a clear potential for academic growth in teaching, scholarship, clinical practice and service.
The individual should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality, collaboration, and cultural diversity. A willingness to serve as a role model and advocate for the ideals of professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting is essential.
Qualifications Requirements:
DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited institution (or foreign equivalent) NYS dental license or eligibilityCertificate in Prosthodontics from a CODA accredited advanced education program by the employment start datePreferred Qualifications:
Experience with digital dentistry (CAD/CAM design and fabrication)Greater than 3 years of clinical, teaching and administrative experienceBoard certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP)PhD, MS or other advanced degree (or foreign equivalent)National recognition for scholarly and publication activityParticipation in national organizations related to area of expertise
