Under the general supervision of the Town Engineer, the Project Manageris responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, and closure ofcapital projects for building upgrades and parks renovations that willpositively impact the community, and provide a positive environment forresidents to enjoy the amenities of the Town and contribute to theTown?s sustainability mission. Needham has a history of strong fundingsupport for their capital projects, with an average annual capitalbudget of \$13 million. The Department of Public Works is looking for amotivated, organized, and resourceful candidate that can workcollaboratively and autonomously within a fast-paced environment. Dutiesand Responsibilities Performs professional level project management forcapital projects including HVAC replacements in commercial-sizedbuildings, field renovations, roof replacements, bathroom renovations,road and pavement repairs, storm and drainage repairs, and otherprojects as assigned. Develop bid specifications, prepare bid documents,coordinate bidding, conduct reference checks, and award bids of theprojects in conjunction with Administrative Division. Managescommunication and collaboration with project stakeholders; immediatesupervisor, department supervisors, engineer and architect consultants,contractors, business owners, residents, building occupants, variousgovernmental entities, and others. Work collaboratively with theEngineering Department, Building Maintenance Department, and Parks &Forestry Department to complete a variety of projects. Workcollaboratively with consultant contracts for engineering andarchitectural design services to develop project cost estimates, scope,schedules, and bids. Review and update building as-builts and plans asnecessary.
