NASA selected The Boeing Company and its industry team to lead the development and flight testing of a full-scale Transonic Truss-Braced Wing (TTBW) demonstrator airplane as part of the Sustainable Flight Demonstrator (SFD) Program. The U.S. Air Force designated SFD as X-66, the newest X-plane, joining a list of pioneering experimental aircraft that have radically shaped global aeronautics for the past 76 years, underscoring its status as a vitally important U.S. experimental airplane program. This is the first X-plane specifically focused on helping the U.S. achieve the goal of net-zero aviation greenhouse gas emissions.
Our Program Management, Partnership and Industry Integration team consists of Material/Services Integration and Airline Sustainability Coalition .
The Material/Services Integration team supports key initiatives and for advance procurement planning to define “buy-to” packages and participation in program make/buy determinations; collaborate with the Program Supply Chain Management Leader, government development partners and program teams to ensure execution of all partnerships and industry integration contractual, planning, scheduling and performance reporting activities/program reviews.
The Airline Sustainability Coalition supports partnership and industry integration team with SFD Airline sustainability coordination and communications, brand management, gov ops focal and program partners i.e. suppliers and NASA
The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience in Development and/or Modification Programs to support X-66 Propulsion or Electrical Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). You will need strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills to build and enhance relationships with key stakeholders and partners. This position will also require a collaborative spirit as it will be responsible for cross team and cross functional alignment which is essential to ensure overall success of business goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Collaborates with Program’s IPT in the development of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) and Supply Chain on Source Selection in support of SOW to include but not limited to providing Technical Evaluations, Risk and Opportunity Mitigations, planning, and performance.
Partner with program’s Supply Chain in providing oversight and management of key partnerships, suppliers and industry development partners for the program
Collaborates with the program’s Supply Chain to ensure seamless supply chain management coordination of deliverables, communication, and performance reporting across program teams
Responsible for maintaining metrics on all aspects of industry performance to plan in support of the Program Integration Office. This includes advance procurement planning assistance to define “buy-to” packages and participation in program make/buy determinations
Integrates across IPTs and functions resolving cross-team issues related to partnerships and industry integration, as appropriate
Integrates program’s partnerships and industry integration requirements for a successful air vehicle modification program throughout the lifecycle by providing cross-functional, cross-IPT coordination, communication, and issue resolution
Support partnerships and industry integration content for program reviews such as: Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Modification Readiness Review, First Flight Readiness Review; etc.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Note-the candidate selected for this position can anticipate working 3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering
5+ years of experience with project planning, scheduling, project management or related experience
5+ years of experience working on research and development, prototype, or modification programs
Able and willing to travel 20% of time, both domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in electrical, mechanical, or propulsion engineering
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
Typical Education/Experience:
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
Senior (Level 5)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)
Relocation:

Summary Pay Plan Senior Level 4: $115,600 - $156,400
Summary Pay Plan Senior Level 5: $141,950 - $192,050
