Summary:
Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist I also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.
Education:
High school Diploma.Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred.Pediatric experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.If hired at CSC- Heartsaver CPR and CSC SCM training must be completed within 60 days of start date.
