JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Level: Manager (LL6) The Battery Manufacturing Engineering team is opening new highways with our next-generation propulsion systems. We're investing over $50 billion to build some of the most technologically advanced EV manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and E.U. to produce the next generation of Ford electric vehicles. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead new program teams to meet objectives from thru completion of ROC, by working with all engineering groups within BME, as well as Mfg Strategy and Planning, Ford Land, Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, Operations Plants and Purchasing
• Lead site-based engineers throughout the delivery of equipment on all Product & Capacity programs.
• Establish and track timing of commodity team deliverables to meet program achievements (Balkan, OPIC, MIDAS, Dashboard reporting, etc.)
• Identify and coordinate program resource requirements.
• Participate in new program studies with MSAP from through Program Approval in conjunction with PD and PSBO. Participate in studies pre-, as required. Program Leader is also responsible for inputting costs specifically for Delivery activities (PMA) and coordinating the input of GDME funds from other groups.
• Prepare Program Review, Executive Program Business Review, PBR, material and deliver ME related content at these reviews check with PM procedure.
• Attend TPMT/EPMT meetings as the primary manufacturing interface for PTME to ensure CPMT process is functioning properly to achieve objectives.
• Lead resolution of major manufacturing program issues, change control and achievement of program objectives with other organizations (i.e. PD, Finance, Planning, etc.), OEM's and EP suppliers.
• Lead manufacturing activities and issue resolution to ROC.
• Develop and implement standard detailed program timing management tool that supports needs of lead process engineers with roll up capability to support program management.
• Coordinate manufacturing input into program tracking tools (e.g., LQOS Charts, Program MS Project Timing File, Global 15 panel/10 Panel/MR, Major Program Status & Issues, Integrator, Indicated Cost, PBR / EPBR, etc.).
• Drive the completion of all phases of machine acceptance (MIDAS system or similar) approvals from the relevant engineers and plant operations
• Incorporate continuous improvements utilizing ME Continuous Improvement / Lessons Learned, Deviation and Decision Record Process.
• Manage the funding budget for program in all aspects
• Manage the safety leaders of the program including site-based compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to travel within Southeast Michigan
10+ years' of manufacturing experience
Bachelor's Degree
Experience managing suppliers, placing complex/detailed orders
Strong Project Leadership skills
Excellent communication and project management skills as you will be interacting with plant employees, union representatives, suppliers, product designers etc.
Results-oriented mind set
