We are currently in the process of expanding our operations inCaseyville with a $181 million dollar investment to add 7 new state ofthe art production lines to our current 4 production lines.
With automated warehousing and robotics at the heart of this expansion,the facility will be a Flagship of the Prepared Foods division. Thefacility currently produces Jimmy Dean and Hillshire branded retailproducts, and the expansion will further develop our capabilities.
SUMMARY:
This location runs around the clock operations and flexes betweenproduction and sanitation as needed to achieve order fulfillment andachieve the highest food safety standards. The Sanitation/ProductionSupervisor directs and supervises the cleaning of the plant productionequipment and facility to meet food safety requirements as required byfederal, state and local regulations, as well as by USDA and FDAregulations to meet customer quality and safety standards. Ensuresemployees follow Company policies and procedures. Ensures sanitation anddepartment efficiencies are maintained at or above standards. Supportsthe commitment and continual improvement to Food Safety and Qualityprograms.
When the Sanitation/Production Supervisor is not overseeing SanitationTeam members you would oversee Production Team members to fillproduction orders while maintaining high production, quality, and yieldsperformance. M most importantly ensuring the safest working environmentpossible for our team members. This position requires an essentialunderstanding and control of the production process, accurate recordkeeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You'll build the best team possible. That includes Hiring,training, Retaining, and counseling on personal and professionalproblems as well as educating your team on benefits, compensations,and company policies. You'll guide the team in stretches beforetheir shift and rotate workstations throughout the shift.Promoting safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetingsDay-to-day sanitation of equipment and facility or Productionmanagement as needed.Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;addressing complaints and resolving problems.Develops and documents cleaning procedures i.e. SSOP's, cleaninglogs, etc.Train and document all sanitation workers for the safe operation anddisassembly of equipment.Ensure compliance with all safety rules and standards including thepr per use of personal protective equipment.Ensure food safety and quality control specifications are met.Ensure compliance with all company GMPs.Help develop, maintain, and comply with Master Sanitation Schedule.Systematically develop clear and well-defined cleaning proceduresfor all equipment and facility areas.Work closely with management and chemical suppliers on chemical andprocess changes to improve sanitation results and reduce costs.Protect product during sanitation.Supervise motivate and train sanitation production workers.Coordinate sanitation and production items for the plant.Coordinate with Quality Assurance on all sanitation issuesconcerning production new products special runs etc.Coordinate with Maintenance on any set-up of Packaging equipment.Other duties as assigned.
Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customerorders ensuring accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation ofinventory, and proper coding of products.
Ensuring all workstations on your line are staffed before start-up ofproduction.
Ensuring all machinery is performing and all workstations have passedUSDA Inspection
