The Product Manager position is responsible for developingbreakthrough new products and maximizing the financial performance oftheir product category. The role works alongside the Sales Team todeliver superior solutions to OMG customers. Responsibilities Promotesafety as the Number 1 priority of OMG. Work with engineering resourcesto develop breakthrough products by gathering voice-of-the-customerdata, defining the product scope and managing through the NPD process.Create the product category roadmap. Understand market potential,current market share, and competitive product positioning. Analyzecategory sales and monitor industry/market trends. Understand the saleschannels/route-to-market; Develop and implement sales training designedto enable the Field Sales Team to effectively market and sell productsand applications. Work with National Account Management Team to driveproduct line acceptance within target accounts. Work with Value StreamManagers to drive continuous process improvement related to safety,quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity throughout the valuestream. Work with Sales & Operations Planning Team to develop productline forecasts and long-term capacity plans. Develop and implementeffective core product management strategies, including profitoptimization, SKU management and a global distribution plan. Work withthe Marketing Communications Department to create effective productpackaging, merchandising and collateral material. Create promotionalplans and advertising to drive revenue growth and build customerloyalty. Work with Technical Service Team to obtain required industryapprovals and product certifications. Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree ina related field (Master\'s preferred). 5+ years experience in a productmanagement position; experience with construction products preferred.Demonstrated success delivering products/services in a high growthenvironment. Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate clearly andeffectively influence cross functional teams. Demonstrated ability totranslate customer needs into business and product requirements. Provenability to make smart trade-offs on time-to-market versus features, andto respond to competitive threats/opportunities. Ability to multi-task,juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced,dynamic environment; demonstrated strong bias for action Stronganalytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metricsto back up assumptions and feature concepts. Demonstrated ability tounderstand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs andopportunistic new ideas with technical employees. Ability to stand,walk, climb, talk and hear, and occasionally lift and/or move up to25lbs. Ability to climb ladders and interact with customers oncommercial rooftops. Strong PC skills including experience with MSOffice Suite (Excel) and MS Project. Positive attitude, good judgmentand excellent time management skills. 25% - 40% travel required.
