　　About the Role:  

　　Are you passionate about enhancing customer experiences and driving retention? We're seeking a dynamic Product Manager to join our team at Planet Labs, a leader in Earth Observation technology. In this role, you will be responsible for managing products that directly impact customer retention through usage optimization, insightful reporting, and effective notifications.

　　As a Product Manager in the Platform organization, you will drive the strategy to retain and expand our current customers by showing the value of Planet products. You will be primarily responsible for understanding the end user application, defining the technical requirements needed, and ensuring an excellent product-market-fit for the current and next-generation versions of the product. This requires tight coordination across the broader go-to-market team and relentless drive to create a customer-centric, sustainable and profitable business. 

　　Product Managers are not the direct supervisors of their engineering teams. To be effective you must demonstrate a commitment to Planet’s cultural values, agile principles and leadership through influence to succeed in this role. In addition to this team, you will coordinate closely with Sales and Product Marketing to understand our customer needs, and the broader engineering teams to understand Planet’s tech stack.  

　　The role can be based remotely anywhere in Germany. 

　　Impact You’ll Own:

　　Building an end-to-end customer-centric product from production to delivery. Ensuring consistent execution of product life-cycle process from concept to launch through excellent product management and cross-functional collaboration. Building the strategy to retain and expand our current customers by showing the value of Planet products. Setting product priorities by ensuring that product capabilities meet the needs of the market with a viable business model. Stay updated on industry trends and customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement. Inspiring and motivating your team, fostering a culture of innovation, and communicating effectively across the organization and with key customers. What You Bring:

　　3-5 years of experience as a product manager with demonstrated success developing customer centric data products. Demonstrated experience in building successful cross-functional partnerships and successfully navigating complex stakeholder environments. The ability to make decisions that align with Planet’s technical and strategic roadmap as well as Planet’s core values. The ability to coordinate resources across multiple areas of the company. Interpersonal skills using team alignment that can consistently be delivered and maintained. The ability to think strategically and craft a compelling product vision. Outstanding planning, collaboration, and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with data platforms and reporting products is a plus.
