JOB DESCRIPTION
Ford Credit China is in the process of transitioning to local support model with an aggressive plan of legacy system localization and most importantly we will leapfrog our core platforms to next level so our business operation could be nimble, efficient, cost effective and compliant with local regulations.
The plan takes step by step approach in next 3 to 5 years, the very first step is to transfer the technical support knowledge from US and India to China. A new local technical team will be established as part of the plan.
We are looking for a senior Product Group Manager to manage Origination, Receivable and Servicing domain systems supported by a team of product managers, BAs and tech leads. This domain is the core function of our business model. Hence system functionalities and availabilities are very crucial to the day-to-day business operation.
This position reports to IT Director of China
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Group manager has end to end accountability of responsible systems healthy, technical enhancement and product strategy Works closely with Product Owners (business) to establish/contribute to product strategy whilst ensuring development teams understand this strategy. Lead and coach a team of Product Managers, Bas, and Tech lead Ensure suppliers engineering services quality and on-time Understands business and user priorities, and technical feasibility to prioritize the product backlog and manage risks. Able to assess the overall health of the product and raise key decision to move it forward. Identifies risks, and implements mitigation and contingency plans, focused on early mitigation or elimination of Risks. Gathers customer and internal feedback to drive improvements and inform product roadmap; Actively employs user research using lean validation techniques. Communicate often and openly with the team by being responsive to in-person prompts. Enables team to build without impediment (removes blockers and trusts team iterations)
QUALIFICATIONS
Functional & Technical Skills
Experience in managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams Demonstrated ability to drive execution of process and methodologies Solid understanding of software development life cycle models Experience with formulating and managing OKRs using Workboard Experience collaborating with technical teams and business partners Experience with driving prioritization process and resolving dependency conflicts Employs/Champions Agile software processes, culture, best practices, and techniques; Facilitates Agile ceremonies Ability to think innovatively to identify product improvements using data and or customer feedback Capability (demonstrated) to formulate and communicate strategy Capability (demonstrated) to manage complex initiatives (integration, risks, issues etc) Ability to establish strong working relationships Ability to provide IT expertise to deliver business strategies or recommend alternative solutions

Required Work Experience:
Solid experience in managing core platforms in auto financing company experience in auto financing industry software best practice 8+ years of technology experience, with at least 5+ years of experience leading technical project/Product teams Experience leading teams of 3 to 10 people Bachelor's Degree +
