JOB PURPOSE
Your role as a Procurement Manager is to create top and bottom-line growth and value for Beauty & Wellbeing business unit (BU) in MET via a deep understanding of our BU strategy and deployment of our Procurement strategies into our business.
Next to this, the role involves close engagement with functions like R&D, Marketing, Finance, SC and Global Procurement teams as well as with supply partners.
Exceptional communication skills, senior stakeholder management, bias for action, influencing, strategy development, business acumen and project management skills are key elements for the successful delivery in this role
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Driving and delivering Procurement relevant actions under the BU strategy and key activities like Innovation Management, Forecast Engagement with BU team, Sustainability (Palm, Plastics, Climate), whilst constantly looking for value creation through 5S Savings Programme, Complexity Reduction and ensuring Superior Availability via Resilience programme.
• Lead the BU 5S savings agenda for MET, organize the annual kick-off workshop, identify in year and longer-term material saving opportunities, secure cross-functional team resources for these projects, ensure on time in full execution and do management reporting of savings delivery
• First point of contact for the BU team on material cost inflation to support with pricing decisions
• Ensure early Procurement & Supplier involvement in innovation/renovation projects, acts as a core team member in cross-functional team to ensure OTIF delivery
• Lead sustainability agenda for Palm, Plastics and Climate in the business unit
• Regular cost benchmarking for our key materials with other regions to identify cost optimization opportunities
• Manage a team of 2 direct reports based in Turkey (Establish clear and measurable goals and provide coaching to develop a high performing team, lead the team to meet goals and objectives to support the delivery of the overall Unilever Procurement and BU strategies)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
• University degree (ideally economics or engineering)
• Excellence in both Turkish and English communication
• At least 5 years' experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
• At least 3 years of team management experience
• Experience in working with cross-cultural, cross-functional teams
• Experience in senior stakeholder management
