About Principal Product Manager, Technical, Amazon Prime Video Customer Relationships & Marketing Tech

  Description

Prime Video offers customers a vast collection of movies, series, and sports—all available to watch on hundreds of compatible devices. U.S. Prime members can also subscribe to 100+ channels including Max, discovery+, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, BET+, MGM+, ViX+, PBS KIDS, NBA League Pass, MLB.TV, and STARZ with no extra apps to download, and no cable required. Prime Video is just one of the savings, convenience, and entertainment benefits included in a Prime membership. More than 200 million Prime members in 25 countries around the world enjoy access to Amazon’s enormous selection, exceptional value, and fast delivery.

In Prime Video's Customer Relationship and Marketing Tech (CRMT) team, our mission is to build and scale a holistic customer relationship management program and deliver automated and personalized marketing messages to Prime Video customers worldwide. Our team builds, maintains, and obsesses over our customer communication programs delivered in Prime Video’s owned marketing channels and surfaces, including customer emails, app push notifications, WhatsApp, and Amazon.com promotions. Our vision is to make sure every Amazon customer is engaged with Prime Video and the Amazon ecosystem across all points of their lifecycle journey wherever they are.

To help us fulfill this mission, we are looking for a customer-obsessed Principal Product Manager with a passion for marketing automation and technology. You will play a critical role in designing solutions to create a world-class customer communication system and delivering transformative experiences in ways Prime Video communicates with customers. You will help define and build the roadmap and experience for different types of customer journeys across the customer lifecycle. You will participate in developing the strategy and vision, and develop product roadmaps to execute on that vision. You'll work cross functionally with our dedicated tech team (software engineers and scientists), partner tech teams, marketing, UX design, business intelligence, and creative teams to bring products to market and enhance the customer experience. We work in a complex and fast-paced environment often with fixed timelines. The ability to plan, refine, and make trade-offs is critical along with the ability to write clearly, manage executive communication, and develop frameworks for decision-making.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in delivering marketing automation solutions, and/or building new customer experiences. A successful candidate is someone who is obsessed with the end user experience, motivated to deliver results fast, and has the ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will also have a consistent track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

  Key job responsibilities

  In this role you will:

Define the long-term vision and strategy for growing Prime Video’s customer reach worldwide so more customers can receive our marketing communications

Define the immediate opportunities in 2024 to improve the customer reach in the existing Prime Video experiences such as improved opt-in experiences, updated communication preference center, proactive opt-in prompts, etc.

Own the development of detailed product requirements documents and work with engineering teams to deliver on the roadmap

Partner with the UX design team to define the new customer experiences, and launch the new experiences working cross-functionally

Conduct customer research and benchmarking study to develop a deep understanding of our customers and stay ahead of the industry’s best practices.
