This individual will drive the MES strategy and deployment across greenfield sites and existing manufacturing facilities. This includes leading the project management, specification, configuration, administration, and maintenance of MES platforms and applications. The Principal MES Engineer will also drive MES software development lifecycle (SDLC), MES integration with electronic resource planning (ERP) and other systems, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Digital group. The Principal MES Engineer will collaborate with peers across departments and/or cross-functional teams to ensure completion of projects.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, recommend, and implement MES projects and enhancements across the Resilience manufacturing network, with focus on manufacturing execution, automation techniques and equipment integration.Design & Build of the MES platform, including implementing modifications to improve operational performance and product quality.Manage multiple projects simultaneously to keep projects on track and timeline for completion.Supports automation activities throughout technology transfer into the manufacturing network and provides continued support throughout manufacturing campaigns.Develop, modify, and redline requirements/specifications related to integration of Manufacturing platforms (e.g. equipment, software, P&ID, network topology, PFD).Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to prioritize projects/work and align digital project delivery to site operational schedules.Coordinate with Digital Quality and Digital Systems Assurance to design and implement SDLC lifecycle documentation and validation protocols.Build relationships and collaborate with Manufacturing, Technical Operations/Engineering, Manufacturing Science/Strategy & Technology, and Quality organizations.Minimum Job QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of manufacturing technologies and systems at all levels of the ISA95 stackSubstantial project management and coordination experience associated with the execution of capital projects in an industrial environment is required.Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) integrations to SCADA, ERP, and other manufacturing critical systems.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment with a proven track record for delivering results on large, cross functional, global projectsRelevant experience in biomanufacturingHands-on experience with IT change management across domains (security, software, network, hardware, etc.)Hands-on experience with computer systems validation and/or computer systems assuranceFluid collaboration skills across business, IT, and external vendors/suppliersPreferred Job Qualifications15+ years of experience in manufacturing operational technology (OT) environmentsBachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. Preferred area of study: Chemical, Biomedical/Bio, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.Fluency in supporting the digitization of manufacturing & engineering business process by bringing the IT know-how to business partners in Manufacturing and T
