Job Description:
The Role
You will act as a Principal Software Engineer who will play a lead technical role on a dynamic Agile-based Scrum team as a member of the FEES application team. You will work closely with the Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Systems Analyst, Quality Assurance, Architects, and other Developers, to craft, build, test, and deliver the features that make up Fidelity's Investment Professional user experience. You will also be expected to provide guidance and mentoring to more junior Developers within the wider Finance and Fund Oversight (FFO) technology chapter.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferred.Strong critical thinking skills coupled with a desire to learn and engage with peers in technical and design discussion.Demonstrated experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners and business partners.Experience in a financial services application domain, including portfolio and fund management, securities trading and financial decision making.
The Team
The Finance Expense Evaluation System (FEES) system is a key application within Fidelity's Asset Management portfolio of technology. The FEES application enables Board Finance users to run comparative analysis of Fidelity 40 Act (Retail) funds with similar competitor funds in the marketplace and produce reports to the Board with the results. This analysis is a key input to the Board of Trustees in their annual review of Fund Management fees, Sub-Advisory fees and Total Expense contract renewals for over 600 funds managed by various Fidelity advisors.
