Overview
As a Principal Financials Data Portfolio Lead, you will be responsible for leading complex data and analytics strategic project work as a part of a larger cross-functional team in support of multiple lines of business focused on the lifecycle of the Financials data domain. Principal Data Portfolio Leads design and implement necessary role clarity, process, and implementation requirements on technically complex projects, focusing on developing cross-functional solutions with input from multiple parties across the business, DTT, and Enterprise Data & Analytics to develop and maximize the value of financial data assets. They must be able to quickly develop mastery of the Financials domain needs across the many lines of business that interact with the data assets within the portfolio, influencing strategic direction and impact of related programs, projects, and outcomes, while overseeing the delivery of high quality, broadly consumable, and discoverable financial data assets from source system to consumption.
Our Principal Data Portfolio Leads typically work with extensive latitude for action or decisions on projects that are very complex and cross-functional in nature, acting as a subject-matter-expert on the Financials data domain, while facilitating the lifecycle of data-as-a-product by influencing the project prioritization and execution of multiple DTT audience teams and business data & analytics teams. They may represent ED&A in external conversations and will regularly assist with the selection or oversight of outside vendor partners.
Successful candidates for this role must have strong analytical and data modeling skills, a deep understanding of data product lifecycle, database technology and data use within analytic platforms, and they must have strong strategic thinking, communication, and project management skills, including prioritization and the ability to make difficult trade-off decisions. We expect our Principal Data Portfolio Leads to have demonstrated fluency and competency across the technical-functional spectrum, able to effectively interface with diverse audiences including DTT, insights analysts, data scientists, and other business leaders. They should have experience developing and implementing data models for broad business use and a moderate level of experience with cloud database architecture. They will need to be fast learners with a keen eye for detail, systems thinking, and process design. They must be team players who work steadfastly to create impactful change.
Our Flexible Future model offers a healthy mix of working in person and remotely, strengthening key elements of the Chick-fil-A culture by fostering collaboration and community.
