Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for either a Principal Configuration Analyst or Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA.

As a Configuration Analyst on this high-paced team, you'll be at the forefront of microelectronic technology integration. Your role involves navigating a challenging environment and ensuring compliance with industry standards, while getting hands-on experience with manufacturing and corporate management software systems and getting a holistic understanding of our operational landscape. You'll also be involved in inventory management, helping streamline an efficient process from start to finish. Your contributions here have a direct impact on the company's success and the security of our nation.
In this role supporting the Microelectronics Foundry and will be responsible for the following:
Core Responsibilities:
Support production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.Adapt to interfacing with our manufacturing execution systems and be comfortable working in SAP.Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.Establish change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.Perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, and process reengineering.Interact with internal customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.Assist in the processing and tracking of program contract and supplier deliverables.Perform baseline (product) management, hardware release and replication management, configuration item identification, software build releases, and configuration audits. This requisition may be filled at the Principal T03 level or the Sr. Principal T04 level based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:Basic Qualification for the Principal T03 level: Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of configuration analyst, manufacturing analyst, operations, production planning experience, and/or related experience; OR Master's Degree with 4 years of configuration analyst, manufacturing analyst, operations, production planning experience, and/or related experienceBasic Qualification for the Sr. Principal T04 level: Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of configuration analyst, manufacturing analyst, operations, production planning experience, and/or related experience; OR Master's Degree with 8 years of configuration analyst, manufacturing analyst, operations, production planning experience, and/or related experienceExperience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning softwareExperience with document managementPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 audit proceedingsExperience with SQL databasesExperience with Inventory ManagementExperience with automating tools and processesExperience with and comprehensive understanding of software development and configuration management toolsThe ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs.Northrop Grumman offers a competitive and robust benefits program. Salary Range 2: $107,000 - $160,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
