  This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations: Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Aurora, IL, New York City, NY and Danbury, CTwill have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

  The Presale Analyst position is strategically designed to support winning group benefits business and to provide exceptional deliverables through key business relationships and optimal teamwork. Working with our internal business partners, the Presale Analyst must analyze the new business opportunity, partner with the appropriate resources to evaluate the prospect and facilitate discussions to drive issue resolution. The Presale Analyst is responsible for the timely delivery and quality response to all Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including completion of questionnaires and development of supporting proposal materials. In addition to effective writing and interpersonal communication skills, the Presale Analyst must be detail oriented, organized, and exhibit project management skills that include an ability to prioritize, respond to multiple deadlines, and balance concurrent tasks successfully in a fast-paced environment.

  Timely delivery of quality National, Regional and Priority Account proposals, inclusive of questionnaires and additional required RFP componentsComplete and respond effectively to RFPs utilizing the Qvidian database and other internal resources while highlighting The Hartford's differentiatorsLead small project groups in order to complete each RFPReview of legal agreements, terms and conditions and requirements/specificationsContribute to the development and maintenance of best practices, tools, processes and proceduresSuperior writing and editing skills with strong attention to detailProvide strategic proposals which articulate the customer's needs and fulfills the customer's requirementsFacilitate calls with business partners to ensure coordinated proposal is providedDevelop and maintain relationships with sales, underwriting, and additional internal business partners to achieve optimal results through effective teamwork

  Qualifications

  BA/BS degree requiredGroup Benefit Insurance Presale experience a plusProficiency with MS Office and Adobe AcrobatProven written skills - You will be required to take complex information and modify the wording in a way that individuals with different reading levels can understand.Excellent editing and detail-oriented skills - Ability to identify the smallest of grammatical errors is key. Attention to detail is a critical skill to be successful in this role.Critical thinking skills - You will need to identify what the customer is asking without the question be identical to previous questions.Self-driven - You will be responsible to managing your workload. The RFPs will have different due dates and status at different points in the process. You must be comfortable working in an autonomous environment.Problem solving skills - Ability to think outside the box and creatively while partnering with different business groups.Ability to work business hours between 8-5 EST and overtime based on business need.

  For full-time, occasional, part-time or remote positions: (1) high speed broadband internet service is required, we do not recommend or support DSL, wireless, Wifi, Hotspots, Fiber without a modem and Satellite; (2) Internet provider supplied modem/router/gateway is hardwired to the Hartford issued computer with an ethernet cable; and (3) minimum upload/download speeds of 75MB download/10MB upload will be required.   Compensation

  The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

  $58,880 - $88,320
