Rollins Child Development Center is looking for a prep cook that is energetic, reliable, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys working on a team. We strive to be a from scratch kitchen with the goal of as much farm to classroom as possible.
Primary Responsibilities:
Heavy daily prep work to support a from scratch kitchen.Washing dishes and cleaning to keep a sanitary environment.Maintain a keen awareness of children that have allergies and food restrictions.Ensure all food is prepared, served, stored, and handled properly.Assist with on-hand inventory as needed.Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe kitchen area at all times, including the proper maintenance of equipment.Works independently as well as cooperatively with other staff members.Appreciation of the importance of food preparation in enhancing quality of life for students.Required skills and experience:
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GEDMust meet basic requirements of local childcare and food service regulatory agencies.The ability to relate positively to young children is essential.Able to pass a background check and drug screening.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds, and occasionally push/pull from the floor up to 75 pounds.Must be available to work Saturdays when needed.Our Ideal Candidate Has:
