About the Role
We are seeking a talented post-doctoral researcher to join our team in Basel to contribute to the development of novel surfactants for the formulation of New Biological Entities (NBEs). You will be joining a vibrant scientific community and collaborate on your project with other development scientists across disciplines, including chemical development, analytical characterization, pre-clinical safety and academic partners.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Conception, planning, execution, and reporting of scientific experiments for the assessment of novel excipients for protein formulations.
This will include the set-up of innovative accelerated stability / stress testing studies, application of high-throughput approaches and comprehensive analytical testing in addition to method development.
• Consolidation and evaluation of all data generated within this highly cross-functional project.
• Lead and co-ordinate the surfactant project team.
• Management of collaborations with key stakeholders and interfaces within the organization and externally on the project.
• Working in a multidisciplinary and international team, presenting data at relevant internal forums and externally at scientific conferences.
• Contribution to the generation of patents / scientific publications in leading journals.

Role Requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
• Ph.D. in life sciences (e.g., Bio- or chemical engineering, biochemistry, biophysics, pharmacy, chemistry or related) with 0-2 years of postgraduate experience
• Fluent in English (oral and written), German is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills, team player, flexible and dedicated personality
• Demonstrated skills working in cross-functional/ international environment
• Competent in completing laboratory work, proficiency in protein formulation / characterization or experience in surface / interface characterization is an advantage
• Expertise in data analysis, data visualization and statistical analysis, programming skills in data science (such as python and/or R) is an advantage
• Strong presentation and scientific writing skills
• Strong publication track record
• Highly motivated independent worker
