  The Role

  As API Platform Leader, you blend Architecture, engineering and development expertise with a passion for delivering results. As the product owner you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the platform mission, strategy, and tactical execution associated with delivering on strategic priorities. In an agile structure, you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence the broader strategic decisions, roadmaps and resource requirements, set and refine the mission, and bring together a team of chapter members to execute on specific product features, You will ensure alignment on the "what" and "when" work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable platform members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role.

  Defining, refining, and communicating the platforms' mission and roadmap to empower and build team and partner support and alignmentAnticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client / partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the teamDefining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteriaInspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impedimentsMeasuring performance against established objectives and KPI's that deliver on agreed upon business, technology, and people resultsCollaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability and enabling squad member growth, development and learningMaking informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelinesTechnical Product Owner experience with building roadmaps, designs, and delivering products or solutions at scaleForward looking Platform Owner with experience around API technology and balancing between Engineering excellence, Innovation, Cost Optimization, business enablement and Delivery.Build roadmaps, designs, and delivering products or solutions at scaleAct as a strategic partner and inspiring leader to streamline and simplify business processing by implementing modern technology stackCollaborate with other engineers and product managers to launch new products, iterate on existing features, and build highly resilient and scalable platformsDeep knowledge on emerging technology stacks in CNCF and Open source worldDeliver the tooling and capabilities needed to enable developer community to operate at scale.Understand engineering needs including those required to build, maintain, and operate the system through all phases of its lifeDeliver the tooling and capabilities needed to enable application hosting in container management platform

  The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  B.S Computer Sc or equivalent.10-15 years experiences in manage large scale enterprise infrastructure projects.Kubernetes, Envoy, Open Telemetry and open source technologies is plus.Experience designing, developing and maintaining dynamic products and solutionsFinancial services experience, preferredAgile experienceJira and Jira Align experience preferredYou take a data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translate strategic objectives into action, and prioritize to improve value deliveredYou grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate theseYou have a strong focus on execution and identify, communicate and remove impediments to progressYou are capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building hard-working teamsYou continuously improve and encourage an agile way of workingYou establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approachYou are intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring and coachingYou have or are committed to developing a balance of technology and non-technology skills in order to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers

  You work in partnership with the Cloud and Platform Product Area Leaders, other Squad Leaders, Scrum Master, and Chapter Leaders aligned to your squad. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you sustain and evolve our innovative agile culture.
