Description
OVERVIEW:
Instrumental in creating a harmonious worship experience, providing piano accompaniment, leading music activities, and participating in diverse Corps events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the primary pianist, contributing melodious accompaniment to worship services, Corps programs, and special events
Lead music classes
Collaborate with the conductor as a piano player, supporting the overall harmony of musical performances
Assist in organizing and participating in music-related Corps events, contributing to the vibrant musical culture of the corps
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
AA Degree or equivalent (preferred)
Experience teaching music
Experience playing the Piano, keyboard, or guitar
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Maintain confidentiality
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Self-motivated and able to motivate others
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, accurate, and precise
Knowledge of Salvation Army programs, practices, policies, and organization desirable
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
