Position Summary:

Essential Job Functions:
Support company health and wellness initiativesUnderstand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and the company's policies regarding the sameAssist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgementProvide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensingUnderstand and follow the company guidelines on the operation of the cash register and follow all cashier handling policies to prevent loss including tendering electronic fund transactions such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT and Gift Cards, as well as cash and check transactionsUnderstand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages and company shrink guidelinesAnswer phone and triage calls and answer inquiries as appropriateComplete billing procedures adequately to assure best value to the customer and the companyCounting, measuring and preparing of specified product using company best practicesPut away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveriesMaintain departmental standards including keeping clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areasUnderstand and follow the company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements and suppliesUnderstand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalersComply with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify storeComply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraudMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Must be 18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to handle highly confidential informationMeet minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position
Desired Previous Job Experience:
Equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerkPrevious comparable experienceEPRN familiarity
The final rate of pay is determined at store level based on prior equivalent work experience.
