Position Summary

Essential Job FunctionsSupport company health and wellness initiativesUnderstand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulationsMaintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirementsAssist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgementProvide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensingTrain and mentor new hire technician day-to-day training and support for pharmacy associatesEncourage, monitor and assist new techs through the technician training programEnsure execution of department standards by leading by example and delegating as necessaryServe as the primary representative for store-wide meetings/huddlesHelp create and manage scheduling and station rotation for the hourly staff per labor forecastsComplete the PIC Assistant process walkPrepare for offsite Business to Business clinics (biometric screenings, vaccinations) to support pharmacistOversee inventory management including, but not limited to, reconciling orders, returns process, physical inventory preparationAct as pharmacy safety subject matter expert being able to recognize areas of opportunity and coach to correctness as appropriateComply with and reinforce all sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store managementComply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraudMust be willing and able to adequately perform all essential job functions and tasks of a pharmacy senior certified technicianMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications High School Diploma or GED1 year of Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterpriseMust be at least 18 years of ageAbility to handle highly confidential informationCompletion of national and/or state registration, certification or license depending upon state requirementsExcellent communication skills with leaders and peersProven attention to detail and stellar customer service skillsSelf-motivated, able to organize, prioritize, plan and meet deadlinesMust be professional, dependable, possess positive attitude, good judgment, and be able to gain the support of others to lead a high performing pharmacy team
Desired Previous Experience/Education1 year or more of previous experience in a management or supervisory role
