Intel's recently announced IDM 2.0 strategy includes a plan to significantly expand the manufacturing network, establishing new capacity and willing to meet the accelerating global demand for semiconductors. The Disaggregated Manufacturing Organization (DMO) will play an important role in this strategy, leveraging Intel's Advanced Packaging technology portfolio to deliver leadership products.To enable this ramp, DMO is building an Advanced Packaging manufacturing facility in Penang Malaysia (PGDM/APF26), increasing its investment in this region which has been a critical part of Intel's supply chain for nearly five decades.Join the Intel PGDM Integration team as the Metrology Engineer where you will be instrumental in developing and ramping some of Intel's newest Advanced Packaging technologies.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Work as a metrology engineer on equipment install, qualification, ramp and sustaining, in partnership with the engineers (included modules), technicians, and support groups.- Recommends and implements modifications for operating the equipment to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and optimizing production output for existing products, to meet safety, quality and cost goals.- Owns execution of maintenance and repair activities for equipment and relevant module of components.- Initiates and owns the continuous improvement of equipment and process for key performance indicators (e.g., safety, quality, cost, productivity, defects, and yield) and works with equipment suppliers as required.- Ensure the equipment is performing to expectation, working alongside 24/7 technician team to troubleshoot equipment issues, and to support startup of sustaining operations.- Able to independently resolves routine issues by using sophisticated problem-solving techniques to identify causes and begin building solutions.- Owns the tool stability by setting up monitoring through statistical method, ensure the measurement from the tools are reliable.- Able to guide and train junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Optics, Chemistry, or equivalent STEM field. Bachelor Degree with minimum 3 years', Master Degree with minimum 2 years' or Ph.D. Degree- 3+ years of experience in Process/equipment engineering in wafer fab, manufacturing systems, yield improvement, problem solving as well as tool installation and qualification specific to thin films, litho or defect or metrology.
Preferred Qualifications:- 3+ years of metrology experience in high volume manufacturing or technology development environment- Knowledge of statistics (MSA, SPC) and experimental design; and the skills to apply that knowledge to tool installation, qualification and tool matching
