We have a very exciting opportunity for a Payroll Operations Specialist to join our Australia and New Zealand HR team in Sydney.
This role and will provide operational support to ensure the smooth and accurate running of AU and NZ Payrolls, partnering with our offshore pay services team who are based in Malaysia.
Reporting to the HR Director, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Review and interpret weekly timesheets to ensure compliance with the ELC's Enterprise Agreement and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement with ELC's newly implemented time-and-attendance system.
• Be the point of contact for the offshore pay services team to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Manage ANZ end-of-month reporting and lodgements, ensuring timely and accurate payroll information is provided where required.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance to identify and provide insights and recommendations enhancing efficiency and processes whilst adhering to governance controls and statutory obligations.
• Lead relevant project initiatives.
• Create and maintain appropriate local payroll documentation and standard operating procedures.

The successful candidate will posses:
• Working knowledge of time and attendance systems; ADP payforce and GlobalView advantageous.
• 5+ years' experience in full function payroll processing or similar relevant experience. Proven experience in working to Industrial Award/Enterprise Agreements.
• High level of computer literacy, especially MS Excel.
• High level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Demonstrated skills in organisation, time management and ability to work to deadlines.
• Manages own work activities to ensure it is completed within specified time and quality parameters.
• Attention to detail.
• Problem solving, analysis, and planning.
