Robert Half is looking to staff a Payroll Manager with our well-respected client! This Payroll Manager will help centralize the Payroll process at the Corporate level and be key to building the function out. A successful candidate for this position can achieve standards that are necessary for growth within the financial department and will be responsible for work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies. This may be the role for you if you are a dynamic Payroll Manager with excellent communication, proven leadership, and are deadline driven.

Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments)
Manage timekeeping and payroll systems
Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
Comply with relevant laws and internal policies
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
Answer payroll-related questions and resolve issues
Oversee and train payroll assistants and clerks
Regulate system upgrades and the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises)
Requirements - CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field
Able to work with a vast variety of payroll applications
2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Knowledge in compliance
5+ years of payroll experience
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Superb understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
Seasoned in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
