Job Description
A Client/Employer in Arlington, Tennessee is seeking a full time Payroll accountant to join their muti-billion-dollar venture. The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for the administration of the payroll, tax, and general ledger accounting functions. This Payroll Accountant will report to the Payroll Manager and work closely with the Payroll Specialist, PR/HR Admin, Accounting, Finance, and Treasury teams as needed.
This position will also be responsible for administering payroll accounting function in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, KSOX, and SOX compliance.
Payroll:
Perform all activities necessary to reconcile weekly and semi-monthly payroll including maintaining related records and needed documentation.
File payroll tax reports and voluntary and involuntary deduction reports with appropriate agencies.
Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports as necessary.
Prepare and review payroll account reconciliations in timely manner.
Reconcile accurate leave accruals by working with the Payroll and Compensation teams.
Assist with 401(k) audits and ensuring employee contributions and employer match are accurate.
Reconcile 941, 940, W2, State, and local tax forms monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
Produce ad hoc reports as needed.
Ensure the annual processing of W-2 statements,1094/1095 ACA filings is handled by 3rd party provider and reconciled with Workday Payroll/HCM.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
Strong knowledge of GAAP and FASB regulations.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting software.
Experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and ensuring data is clean for audit and reconciliation purposes.
Three (3) years + of accounting experience; experience working in a manufacturing organization
SAP and Workday Experience Experience with joint venture and start-ups null
