Job Title: Teacher Assistant /Group Counselor
Employment Type: Part time
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
Job Summary:
As a Group Counselor at After 3, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging with a group of students in an after school program. You will create a positive, safe, and enriching environment for students to learn and grow outside of regular school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision: Oversee a group of students, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Activity Planning: Develop and lead various activities, including educational, recreational, and creative projects.
Behavior Management: Maintain discipline and manage behavior in a positive and constructive manner.
Support and Guidance: Provide support and guidance to students, helping them with homework and other tasks.
Communication: Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and school personnel regarding student progress and any issues that arise.
Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant information.
Requirements:
Age: 18+
Education: Provide proof of a high school diploma or transcripts.
CPR Certification: CPR certification is beneficial, but not mandatory.
Skills and Qualifications:
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and organize activities and manage time effectively.
Patience and Understanding: A patient and understanding approach to working with children and handling various situations.
ProblemSolving: Ability to think on your feet and resolve conflicts or issues as they arise.
