PARAPROFESSIONAL -K-8
Reports to: Principal
Pay Range: $33,240.75-$38,545.13
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Under the direction of a certified classroom teacher, the paraprofessional supports students one-on-one, occasional classroom cover and in small groups. This position will also be required to work morning or afternoon transportation duty, and monitor lunch and recess. This is a great stepping stone for people who wish to work in a school environment, but don't have a teaching certification. Those who are interested in obtaining a teaching certification will be eligible for support through our university partnerships.
Job Qualifications:
Associate's and/or Bachelor's in Education is preferred; or at least 48 college credits
Knowledge of the Pennsylvania State Standards and Common Core is preferred
Experience working in a school setting or informal education setting is preferred

Primarily assigned to an office environment that is climate and noise controlled with adequate lighting, using standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers. Frequently called upon to monitor recess, lunch, or other activity periods in an outdoor playground or athletic field setting with exposure to outdoor elements. *
