JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: This position is responsible forpainting equipment, parts, machinery, interiors and exteriors of ships,and shipyard buildings at our vast, 63-acre facility. The successfulcandidate will also remove old paint to prepare surface prior topainting, and mix colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency.Detailed Description: Follows directions under intermittent supervision.Proficient at mixing and thinning all types of coatings as directed.Proficient at running blast pot and paint pumps. Proficient at pressurewashing. Ability to spray conventional and airless spray guns. Set-upblast pot, paint pumps, and all hoses and lines. Clean and maintain allequipment as required. Troubleshoot problems with all equipment as itarises. Proper storage of equipment and pumps. May be assignedmiscellaneous tasks outside craft as required. Clean tanks and machineryspaces to gas-free specifications. Attendance is an essential functionof the job. Ability and willingness to engage in highly energeticpursuits on the waterfront.
